The National Prescription Drug Take Back Day is Saturday, October 24, 2020, starting at 10:00 a.m. This event aims to provide a safe, convenient, and responsible means of disposing of prescription drugs, while also educating the general public about the potential for abuse of medications.
As we all know, leftover prescription drugs that remain in the home are a major threat to public health and safety. Misuse, abuse, overdosing and harmful drug interactions have led to addictions, debilitating illnesses, and tragic accidental deaths across the country.
On Saturday, October 24, starting at 10:00 a.m., all Americans have the opportunity to dispose of unused, expired and leftover medications at a nearby authorized disposal site – anonymously, for free, with no questions asked. It is all part of the DEA’s National Drug Take Back Day.
DEA has made it easy to inform consumers by preparing ready-made promotional and information-sharing tools, including social media graphics. Please help spread the word today about this important, life-saving public health initiative.
Thank you for doing your part!
Sincerely,
Your Friends at Confidio
